Privacy Notice

Draft for review. This content establishes the page and the sign-up flow. Have it reviewed and finalized by qualified legal counsel before relying on it in production.

This Privacy Notice explains what information Mivora collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. Mivora is built around a simple idea: your data is shared only with the audiences you choose, per field.

Information we collect

  • Account information — your first and last name, preferred name, email address, and phone number.
  • Profile and family content — the details, photos, posts, groups, and events you add.
  • Usage and device data — basic logs needed to operate and secure the Service.

How we use it

  • To provide the Service — create your account, family groups, and per-field sharing.
  • To secure your account — verify your email, and detect and prevent abuse.
  • To send you account and safety communications by email and, where you opt in, SMS.

How information is shared

Within Mivora, content is shared only with the audiences you set on each field or post. We do not sell your personal information. We use a small number of service providers strictly to run the Service, including:

  • Email and SMS delivery — to send verification codes and notifications.
  • Cloud hosting and database — to store your data securely.
  • Address verification — to help you enter valid addresses.

These providers may process data only on our instructions and for these purposes.

Storage and security

Data is stored in managed cloud infrastructure; secrets and credentials are held in a dedicated secrets vault, and passwords are stored only as strong one-way hashes. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information with encryption in transit and access controls.

Your choices and rights

  • Review and edit your profile, and change the audience of any field at any time.
  • Opt out of non-essential communications (see the Electronic Communications Disclosures).
  • Request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal information, subject to applicable law.

Children

Children under 13 participate only as managed members supervised by a family group's primary member, who controls what is shared about and with that child.

Retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service and meet legal obligations.

Changes and contact

We may update this Notice and will change the date above when we do. Questions or requests? Contact us at privacy@familyshare.app.
